German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle is to visit Sudan on Wednesday, after unveiling the government's new strategy for its dealings with Africa. During his three-day trip, Westerwelle will meet leaders in the capital Khartoum, visit Darfur and travel to the south of the country, which is due to declare independence next month. Before departing for Sudan, Westerwelle is to present the government's new Africa strategy which was approved early Wednesday by Chancellor Angela Merkel's cabinet, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA" Germany is offering Africa's 53 states a "partnership of equals," focusing on "peace and security in our neighborhood," according to the 29-page strategy document.
