Rahman Malik, Pakistan's Interior Minister, paid a visit to the Saudi embassy in Islamabad today to offer condolences on the martyrdom of Hasan bin Misfer Al-Gahtani, the Saudi diplomat who was assassinated by unknown gunmen yesterday in Karachi. The Minister was received by Charge D'affaires a.i. of the Embassy Jassem bin Mohammed Al-Khaldi. Malik expressed deep shock and sorrow and extended his condolences to the family of deceased, confirming that his country would continue search to catch the culprits as soon as possible and bring them to justice. He said Pakistan condemns terrorism and would continue its fight against terror acts. He also explained that the Pakistani Government would take all necessary measures to guarantee the safety of diplomatic missions and the protection of Saudi diplomats in Pakistan, lauding the relations between the two countries and confirming that whoever shows enmity to the Kingdom is in reality an enemy of Pakistan.
