On behalf of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, Major General Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Omani, Commander of the Special Security Forces, today paid a visit to the family of Hasan bin Misfer Al-Gahtani who was attacked to martyrdom in Karachi yesterday by unknown terrorists. Al-Omani conveyed the condolences of the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior as well as Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Interior, and handed the family of the martyr a check of SR100,000 (one hundred Thousand Saudi Riyals) as an urgent tip. To this effect, Brig. General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thimali, Director of Public Relations and Guidance at the Special Security Forces, said a number of royal orders have been issues to tackle the situation of the martyr's family. He cited the promotion of the martyr to the next rank in its highest levels, the continuation of his family to receive all premiums as if he were on duty, granting him King Abdulaziz medal grade III, granting him an Honor of Merit, one of his sons will have the right to his father's job according to systematic requirements, provision of an appropriate residence in the location they wish with a maximum of SR500,000, if it was proved he was supporting his parents, then they would each be paid SR3,000 monthly, had he sustains personal debts, the government would settle it/them on his behalf with a maximum of SR500,000. Al-Qahtani's father forwarded thanks to and appreciation of the monarch for his direct condolences as well as to the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior for their noble feelings. The leader of the bereaved family said he is honored to have one of his sons a martyr for his religion and country.
