The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan denounced in the strongest words the assassination of Hasan Misfer Al-Gahtani, a Saudi Consulate diplomat by unknown gunmen early today while the martyr was heading for his office in Karachi. A statement issued by the Ministry said the Pakistani Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hana Rabbani Kahr expressed profound sadness for the martyrdom of Al-Gahtani. She confirmed her country's commitment to conduct a prompt investigation into the incident to reach the culprits and bring them to justice in addition to taking the necessary security measures to protect foreign diplomats in the country.
