Seven residents of Moscow died on Tuesday in an apartment fire suspected to have been caused by the unsafe use of an electrical appliance, the Interfax news agency reported. The fire occurred in a residential building near Arbat street, a major shopping avenue in Moscow's centre, said Evgeny Bobylev, a government spokesman. All victims in the three-storey building died of smoke inhalation, he said.
