An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale shook parts of India-administered Kashmir early Sunday, officials said. "The epicentre was in the Hindukush mountain range between Pakistan and Afghanistan, located to the north-west of the state," said Aamir Ali, chief of the state's disaster management division. The quake struck parts of the northern Kashmir valley 24 hours after a 4.9 quake had hit the state, the official said. There were no reports of damage or casualties, authorities were quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA".
