The area of forest fires in Siberia almost doubled over the past day. On Friday morning, there were 26 outbreaks on 250.7 hectares, by Saturday morning, the number rose to 37, and the area enlarged to 486 hectares. Nine of the outbreaks on 123.5 hectares are localized, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Siberian regional centre reported to Itar-Tass. There are no large forest conflagrations, a source at the centre noted. A total of 1,121 people were mobilized to fight the blaze. They used 235 vehicles.
