The total area of wildfires in Russia is more than six times less than the day before. There are no large conflagrations, Itar-Tass quoted a Russian Emergencies Ministry source as reporting on Saturday. Seventy-six fires broke out over the past 24 hours, and 89 outbreaks were extinguished. Eight fires continue burning on a total area of 139.3 hectares, including two peat fires. Six fire outbreaks are localized on a total area of 133,3 hectares. There are no large conflagrations, the ministry source said. The day before, there were 21 fires on 866.2 hectares. This year, there have been a total of 30,000 wildfires on 1.1 million hectares in Russia. A total of 4,190 people were mobilized to fight the fires, and more than 1,000 technical units were used, including 13 aircraft, the source added.
