The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of The Gulf, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has denied the news that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has requested solely to postpone the extraordinary meeting of Arab foreign ministers, scheduled to be held in Cairo tomorrow. Dr. Al-Zayani has pointed out that the GCC Ministerial Council decided in its extraordinary meeting in Riyadh on Sunday to request the postponement of the extraordinary meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers and entrusted Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, in his capacity as president of the current session of the GCC Ministerial Council to request the postponement of the meeting.
