Palestinian President Receives Telephone Call From Former Italian PM

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is currently visiting Amman, received last night a telephone call from former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi.
A statement from the Palestinian embassy in Amman said today that President Abbas briefed Prodi on the status of reconciliation, the current Palestinian situation and the latest developments in the region as well as the stalled peace process because of Israeli intransigence.
