Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met on Friday with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, at the Russian presidency head quarters in Moscow; his third stop of the European tour, which included London and Berlin. Abbas briefed Medvedev on the latest political developments, the international Quartet's efforts to re-launch negotiations and to revive the stalled peace process due to the Israeli intransigence and efforts exerted to implement the national reconciliation agreement. They also discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries. Abbas thanked Medvedev for his positions in supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people's rights, according to a report of Palestine News and Information Agency "WAFA".
