Awwal 08, 1432 / April 12, 2011, SPA -- The speaker of Bahrain's House of Representatives Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani extended thanks and gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, the Second Deputy Premier, the Saudi government and people for the dignified stance taken by the Kingdom in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain in order to face up the latest developments which have recently taken place in Bahrain aiming at undermining its security and terrorizing its people. This came during a meeting here today between Al-Dhahrani and the Speaker of the Saudi Shoura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shiekh within the brief visit paid by Al-Dhahrani and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom today. Al-Dhahrani lauded the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in support of Bahrain during the recent crisis. The GCC has demonstrated to the world at large their solidarity, unity and support against any foreign plots targeting their collective security or that of any single member, he said. He briefed Al Al-Shiekh on the latest developments in Bahrain, confirming that his country is now stable and secure following the prudent measures taken by the Bahraini leadership and the support of the GCC through the Peninsula Shield Force. --More
