Awwal 07, 1432 / April 11, 2011, SPA -- In its ordinary 20th session of its third year of the fifth round which was presided over here today by its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Shoura Council approved a draft agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom and the Government of Eritrea. Following the meeting, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, Secretary General of the Shoura Council, said the Council passed the nine-article agreement with simple majority. The agreement covers cooperation in all fields, particularly investment, commercial, cultural, information, scientific research, academic and technological exchange, he explained. A report by the Islamic and Judicial Committee on the annual report of the General Presidency of Religious Research and Ifta for the fiscal year 1430-1431 H. was discussed. The members pointed out to the Presidency's need for skilled human resources particularly in the field of translation and for introducing more live languages to the work of Ifta including the Russian, German and Chinese. Discussion was adjourned for more study in a later session. Then the meeting discussed the annual report for the Control and Investigation Authority for the fiscal year 1430-1431 H. Discussion will be resumed in a future meeting.
