Jordanian-Egyptian Electricity Grid to Have Networking of 1000 MW

Akhir 21, 1432, March 26, 2011, SPA -- Egypt and Jordan this morning stressed the need to speed up the electricity inter-connection projects between the two countries, consequently increasing power generation through joint networking of up to 1000 MW of electricity to achieve stability between the two power grids.
This was decided during a meeting earlier today between Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Energy Dr. Hassan Younis and his Jordanian counterpart Dr. Khaled Al-Touqaan.
The two sides also addressed a number of issues of common concern and ways to promote cooperation in the field of electricity.
