Akhir 04, 1432, March 09, 2011, SPA -- Algeria will participate in the Islamic Astronomical Conference, which will be hosted in Amman - the Jordanian capital from March 22 to 24. More than 300 delegates from various Arab and Islamic bodies, governmental and non-governmental organizations interested in research, experiments and studies of astronomy and space will attend the Conference, which is being organized by the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences. The meeting will address a number of issues, including the sighting of the crescent and the prayer times in areas of high latitudes, as well as ways to support and develop the Islamic-Arab cooperation in this vital area of growing interest on a daily basis.
