Akhir 04, 1432, March 09, 2011, SPA -- The Ministry of Interior's (MOI) Border Guards transport vessel "Al Aredh" has finally docked at Jubail Commercial port, having crossed more than 3,000 kilometers overcoming volatile weather through Bab-el-Mandeb and the Arabian Sea. The ship -48 meters in length and 12 meters in width, will be stationed in Jubail for logistic purposes including transportation of supplies, military personnel and equipment, as well as for fueling requirement, said Colonel Mohammed bin Saad Al Ghamdi, the media spokesman of the Border Guards in the Eastern Province. The vessel can hold up to 20 fully-equipped automobiles, he said, adding that the vessel can also be used as an advanced sea command center and for evacuation in situations of disaster.
