Awwal 06, 1432, Feb 09, 2011, SPA -- The White House on Tuesday reiterated U.S. President Barack Obama's commitment to seeing peace in the Middle East. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that despite recent developments in Tunisia and Egypt, the U.S. president is still very much committed to seeing peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. The administration has "been actively involved in seeking a lasting peace" in the Middle East, Gibbs said. But, he added that the United States cannot impose upon them "something that they're unwilling" to do themselves.
