British Foreign Secretary William Hague and Yemeni Foreign Minister Dr Abu Bakr Al-Qirbi held a meeting here today, which focused on a number of bilateral issues of common interest. The meeting also dealt with examining the phenomenon of piracy in Somalia. The two sides stressed the need for the concerted international efforts to address the situation in Somalia and to end the phenomenon of piracy. For his part, the British Foreign Secretary expressed Britain's support for Yemen's security, stability and unity and backed the process of reforms in various economic, political, and security domains.
