Two Indian Army pilots were killed Thursday when their helicopter " Cheetah " crashed soon after take-off into a residential area in Nashik district of Maharashtra state, officials said. The helicopter of the Army Aviation Corps crashed into the roof of an empty house and there were no civilian casualties, Nashik district commissioner P Velrasu said. Both dead pilots held the rank of major. Defence officials were conducting a probe to find out the cause of the accident, NDTV news channel reported. The Cheetah chopper that crashed was on a routine flight to Goa, NDTV reported, citing defence officials, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA".
