Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (GCTA), vowed that all the concerned authorities of his organization are ready to contribute to the efforts of providing assistance for the flood-ravaged people in Jeddah Province. He also instructed the Touristy Development Department in Jeddah to work day and night to monitor the housing process for the homeless through providing hotels and furnished apartments in Jeddah and join the committees supervising the rescue process. In a statement, Majed bin Ali Al-Shiddi, Spokesman of the GCTA, said that Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has set up a hot-line with all departments of the organization to make sure that they are fulfilling this duty and urged the owners of touristy accommodating facilities to provide assistance to citizens and expatriates who might be suffering from those difficult circumstances.
