Sheikh, Safar 15, 1432 / Jan. 19, 2011, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud invited their excellencies and highnesses the Arab leaders to take part in the Development, Economic and Social Arab Summit to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in January 2013. The invitation was made in the speech of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who led the Kingdom's delegation to the Arab Economic Summit, held here, while addressing it today, as the summit concludes its working sessions. Following is the text of Prince Saud's speech: "The Addresses delivered by their excellencies and highnesses, in particular those of his Excellency President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak of the Arab Republic of Egypt and His Highness Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait have comprehensively covered all topics; thus, I would not seek to repeat the issues their speeches have touched; for it is a necessity that all of us are to do our best to promote the Arab joint action into a wider space to achieve Arab interests and the aspirations of the Arab citizen. "What achievements that have been reached in Arab joint action, whether during the two economic summits, held respectively, in Kuwait in 2009 and Sharm el-Sheikh in 2011 and other ordinary summits, are sources of comfort to us; however, this does not mean that there are no challenges ahead, for we are called upon now more than at any time to push forward to add to the achievements and to overcome any obstacles that may hindered Arab joint action. "We would like to stress the importance of abiding by seriousness and credibility in our task, and consequently to enhance our efforts that the taken resolutions will be accompanied by all efforts to have them implemented. Kuwait's summit has taken important resolutions and we are all poised to carry them out, and there are other important resolutions taken in this current summit and they will, God willing, find their way to implementation. For the coming summit, we look forward to committing ourselves to the principles adopted in the two previously held summits. "Now that we are about to conclude the functions of our conference, it is my honor, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to invite your excellencies and highnesses Arab leaders, Kings, Emirs and Presidents to participate in the Arab Development, Economic and Social Summit set to be held in its 3rd session in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in January, 2013. It is the pleasure of the government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host this august forum, hoping it will be a tributary that cements our Arab nation and helps achieve what we anticipate of sustainable development within the framework of activating Arab joint action."
