The Emir of Kuwait delivered a speech in which he rejected the aggression launched by infiltrators against Saudi Arabia and said, "We all reject the aggression of some infiltratores into the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, targeting its sovereignty and its security. "We reiterate our condemnation and reprobation of such aggressions and hostilities," underlined Sheikh Sabah who extended overwhelming support for the Saudi measures in defending the sovereignty and security of the Kingdom. The Emir extended his felicitations to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on the return of the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud "safe and sound" to his homeland. The Emir said the 30th GCC summit was held amidst crucial challenges at the security, economic and political fronts, asserting that launch of the electricity linkage and approving timetable for the Monetary Union would push forward the GCC march. Addressing the opening session of the two-day summit, Sheikh Sabah said the launch of the electricity linkage project and approving the timetable of the Monetary Union as well as the establishment of the railway authority would further push foward the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was established in 1981. --More
