Pakistani authorities have closed last night the Islamabad International Airport temporarily for all international and domestic flights due to heavy fog in various regions of Pakistan including the capital Islamabad. The Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan today said that the temporary closure of the Islamabad International Airport last night was due to heavy fog which hampered air traffic, adding that air traffic will resume again as soon as the weather improves. The Authority also explained that the current wave of fog affected most flights at airports in Peshawar, Lahore, Multan and Sukkur where some flights were delayed for take-off. "There have also been conversion of some in-coming flights to airports in other cities."
