Jordanian Ministry of Health announced today that H1N1 (swine flu) cases recorded in Jordan have risen to 50 since the first infection was reported in early December last year. The ministry added in a statement that 17 cases had fully recovered, 14 were still receiving in-home treatment and another 14 moderate cases are in hospitals. One case is in critical condition, Petra quoted the statement as saying. Jordanian Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyab urged health officials in the governorates to launch comprehensive campaigns to raise awareness on the cause of the disease, ways of contagion and prevention.
