The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) plans to implement an integrated project to study fish stocks in Yemen during 2011 at a cost of $30.9 million. Head of the General Authority for Marine Sciences Researches and Aquaculture Osama Al-Mas told Yemen's News Agency 'SABA' that the Fund on priorities and needs of the Authority, will activate and develop the research works in this context. It was agreed upon the implementation of an integrated project to study the fish stocks in Yemen to come up with practical results serving the socioeconomic development, Al-Mas said. He disclosed that the government's contribution was YR (Yemeni Riyal) 500 million to support the project.
