International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has approved its contribution to finance a number of agricultural development projects in several governorates in the country, SABA quoted Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Mansur al-Hawshabi as saying upon his arriving home. He said, after his participation in the 31st meeting of the Governor Council of IFAD in Rome, that the two sides agreed on implementing several agricultural projects under the IFAD's program in 2008 in Baidha'a, Lahj and Taiz. On the sidelines of the meetings, he held talks with the chairman of IFAD and a number of several Arab agricultural minister on the cooperation relations with each.
