A man in the Indonesian resort island of Bali has been declared a fugitive after allegedly setting fire on his ex-wife, their small child, and a housemaid. As a result, three of them sustained serious burns, Denpasar city police told ANTARA here Saturday. The suspect, Martin Jumanuna, had allegedly set fire on his ex-wife, Ni Nengah Ayu Puspa Rini (35) along with her small child only identified as NP (3.3), and domestic helper, Veri (18), at their home in West Denpasar, on Friday. The brutal attack occurred after the two had a fierce quarrel. As a result, Martin got so mad and all of a sudden showered his ex-wife with kerosene and torched her. Martin did not only attack his woman but also NP and Veri who heard the former married couple were embroiled in a fierce quarrel in the house, the police said. Veri survived after avoiding further attack by the enraged man, the police said. The three victims screamed for help. Their neighbors brought them to Sanglah general hospital in Denpasar for emergency medical treatment, the police said. The police is investigating the incident.
