A moderate explosion shook Denpasar, the capital of Bali Province, injuring two persons, ANTARA reported. The explosion was suspected to have come from a home-made bomb which burst in front of a car workshop located around 200 meters from the Gatsu-Kebo Iwa intersection which among others leads toward the Denpasar Police headquarters. Following the explosion, a number of policemen arrived and immediately set up a police line and checked the location, some eyewitnesses said. The blast hit a passing jeep, injuring the car driver and a passenger. They were immediately rushed to Sanglah Public Hospital in Denpasar. A hole with a diameter of 8.6 centimeters marked the spot where the bomb had exploded. Bali Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Purwoko suspected the explosion came from a home-made bomb like the one that went off in Gatsu IV recently.
