One more suspected bird flu patient died at the Sanglah general hospital here on Tuesday, ANTARA quoted a doctor as saying. The 28-year-old patient, identified as Ni Sri N, died after being treated at the hospital for 36 hours, Dr. Putu Andrika SpD, chief of the hospital`s bird flu control team, said. Sri had earlier been treated at the Tabanan general hospital before being referred to the Sanglah hospital, he said. She was diagnosed as suffering from high fever and lung infection, he said. "The results of an x-ray conducted by the Tabanan general hospital also showed the same thing. And her condition deteriorated rapidly," he said. He said he strongly believed Sri had been infected with a kind of virus. But he stopped short of revealing the type of the virus. "We have already sent the results of a laboratory test to Jakarta to ascertain whether she died of bird flu or not," he said.
