In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and under the patronage of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior who is also Supervisor General of the Saudi Committee for Relief of the Afghan people, a convoy of relief consists of 20 truck laden with 5000 food basket was launched from the Afghani capital towards Badakhshan State damaged by floods last month. The convoy launching ceremony which took place yesterday, was attended by number of Saudi and Afghani officials. On the occasion, Afghan officials expressed in their speeches their deep thanks to and appreciation of the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Crown Prince and Second Deputy Premier for their humanitarian support of the Afghan people, stressing that the Kingdom always precedes everyone to help the affected and needy and that the Afghan people will never forget these Saudi noble stances.
