The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented in King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), has won 13 awards in Intel Science Competition - Arab World, which was held here under the auspices of Arab League. 120 contests from 10 Arab countries including the Kingdom have participated in the competition. The announcement of the winners came at a ceremony hosted by the Egyptian Science Age Society (SAS) in collaboration with Intel Corporation last night at Alexandria Library. Saudi Arabia has clinched the first place for a science project about the magical touches made by the student Fatima Abdulhakim and won the second place for the best project by specialization. It has also finished third and fourth in five competitions and won fourth place in the competition of the best project by country. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Ahmed bin Ali Al-Balushi, Head of the Saudi delegation to the Competition and Supervisor General of Mawhiba's Initiative of Enrichment Programs said that the Mawhiba Foundation, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is taking care of the talented in the Kingdom through a large number of programs according to a strategic plan.
