Minister of Labour, Engineer Adel bin Mohammad Fakih received here today the Minister of Labour of the Republic of Indonesia Mohaymen Alexander. At the outset of their meeting, the Minister of Labour welcomed his Indonesian counterpart and the accompanying delegation, noting that the number of Indonesian workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amounted to about a million people, with a low percentage of problems by 0.04% which is the lowest percentage among other nationalities working in the Kingdom. Engineer Fakih pointed out to some of the individual excesses, stressing that the Kingdom is keen to save the dignity of its labor force based on the teachings of Islamic Shariah, highlighting the attention and care accorded all employment as an essential part of the ethics of the Saudi people. He also stressed that the ministry is sparing no effort in pursuing violators of the rules, and penalties prescribed by the rules that set up to regulate the relationship between the contracting parties. --More
