The Indonesian Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Anton Apriyantono, and his accompanying delegation met Saudi businessmen and investors, here today. The meeting was organized by The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) in order to develop the trade exchange between the two countries, especially in the agricultural field. At the outset of the meeting, Mohammed Abu-Nayyan, a Member of RCCI's Board of Directors welcomed the Indonesian Minister and hoped that this meeting will have fruitful results. On his part, Apriyantono expressed happiness over visiting the Kingdom and pointed out that the delegation of Indonesian businessmen will brief later today their Saudi counterparts on the opportunities of investment in Indonesia. It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia totaled SR 1, 247 millions during 2004.
