Hijjah 30, 1431, Dec 06, 2010, SPA -- GCC Secretary General Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Atiyyah has affirmed that chairing of 31st GCC Summit, which is scheduled to begin its two-day deliberations later today in Abdul Dhabi, would provide a factor for the success of this major gathering. ''Sheikh Khalifa's management of the summit will add many achievements that contribute to realizing aspirations of the GCC (The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf) citizens for security, stability and economic integration among the Council's member states,'' Al Atiyyah said on the eve of the summit. ''The Abu Dhabi summit is being convened at a critical time when the pace is being accelerated to boost joint GCC action and maintain security and stability,'' he stated on the fringe of the opening of the GCC exhibition which is being staged on the fringe of the summit. --MORE
