Hijjah 17, 1431, Nov 23, 2010, SPA -- The official website of the Spanish Royal Palace, has praised the exhibition of “Saudi Archeological Masterpieces through the Ages” which is currently being hosted by the La Caixa Foundation in Barcelona, in collaboration with Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA). The website describes the exhibition as an embodiment of the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Spain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In its detailed report on the exhibition, the website quoted the comments of Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al Ghabban Vice-President of SCTA for Museums and Antiquities in which he has said, “the aim of the exhibition is to inform the world on the culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was and is still open to cultural dialogue between the nations”. The report also quoted his comments that the exhibition aims to substantiate that the Kingdom was not ever been on the sidelines of history and that “Saudi Arabia's international initiative for Inter-cultural Dialogue is not a recent phenomenon, in fact it is derived from a deep-rooted belief, which is as old as the history itself”. The report stated that, Dr. Al Ghabban believes that much of the real history of his country is still unknown to many around the world and that his responsibility is to work hard to complete this task. --MORE
