Dhabi, Dhu Al-Hijjah 16, 1431, Nov 22, 2010, SPA -- UAE Federal Council's Chairman Abdulaziz Al-Gharir lauded the outcome of the 4th conference for GCC member parliaments, held in the United Arab Emirates capital of Abu-Dhabi. In a press release following the end of the meeting, he said that the most important decision was the approval of the Constitutional Statute for coordination committees as well as the agreement to activate the joint Gulf parliamentary diplomacy. He disclosed that a Gulf working plan was forged to influence the Arab, Islamic and International decision-makers. The Chairman of the regular meeting for these parliaments is also scheduled to deliver a speech before the GCC summit in Abu-Dhabi next month. He disclosed that discussion on a UAE proposal to hold an annual parliamentary meeting for the GCC parliaments was adjourned for more study.
