Hijjah 12, 1431, Nov 18, 2010, SPA -- Philippine Consul General Ezzedin H. Tago expressed on Wednesday his appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the elaborate preparations for Hajj. "The preparations have been thorough and elaborate so that the Hajj performance this year for all the pilgrims, including Filipino Muslims, could be as comfortable as could be," Tago told Arab News by phone from Makkah. Tago said Filipino pilgrims will begin from tomorrow their return to the Philippines. There are approximately 4,100 Filipino pilgrims this year. President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III designated Dr. Hamid A. Barra as 'Amir-ul Hajj' this year," said Abdurrahheym Macud, administrative officer of the Consulate General in Jeddah.
