MINA: Several dignitaries including Senegalese Prime Minister Solomon Indeni Ndiaye and Philippine Consul General Ezzedin H. Tago have lauded the Saudi authorities for making this year's Haj a great success. After touring the camp for Senegalese pilgrims in Mina Wednesday, Prime Minister Ndiaye commended the government of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for the best services provided for pilgrims and great developments at the holy sites. The great services, he said, enabled pilgrims to perform their Haj rituals easily and comfortably. The prime minister also expressed his pleasure over strong bilateral relations between his country and the Kingdom. Philippine Consul General Ezzedin H. Tago appreciated elaborate preparations for Haj. “The preparations have been thorough and elaborate so that the Haj performance this year for all the pilgrims, including Filipino Muslims, could be as comfortable as could be,” Tago said in Makkah. There are approximately 4,100 Filipino pilgrims this year. Prince Faisal lauds scouts work in Haj Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah, Minister of Education, who is also President of Saudi Arabian Boys Scouts Association, expressed his pride in scouts for assisting and guiding pilgrims, preserving their safety and other services provided for them at Pilgrims Camps in the holy sites and Kingdom's entry and exit points. Prince Faisal described their works and services as excellent and distinguished and reflecting their expertise gained through the previous years. The minister also lauded works of Girl Guide Scouts for assisting in the protection of the lost children.
