Hijjah 05, 1431, Nov 11, 2010, SPA -- Chairman of the Shoura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Alsheikh said Saudi Arabia's recognition of Kosovo reflects Saudi respect for the desire of Kosovo's Muslim people to achieve independence and self-determination on their national soil. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, the chairman said the recognition also supports international efforts to achieve peace and development in Kosovo and the Balkan countries and meets the aspirations of the vast majority of Kosovo's people who clearly chose independence as a right for self-determination. The chainman highlighted strength of Saudi-Albanian relations.
