Military Serviceman Killed in Explosion in Chechnya

Hijjah 04, 1431 / Nov. 10, 2010, SPA -- A soldier of the Russian Federation Interior Troops has been killed in an explosion in Chechnya.
"An unidentified explosive device went off on the outskirts of the village of Tangi of the Urus-Martan district in mountain-woody terrain on Tuesday during a reconnaissance and search operation," Itar-Tass quoted an Interior source as saying. "A contract serviceman was wounded in the blast, he died on the way to hospital," the source added.
Police are investigating the incident.
