Supreme Court Urges Muslims to Sight Dhul-Hijjah Crescent

Qa'dah 28, 1431 H/ Nov. 05, 2010, SPA -- The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of the Lunar Month of Dhul-Hijjah on Saturday evening (29/11/1431H) and on Sunday evening (1/12/1431H) according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar.
In an announcement made this morning, the Supreme Court also requested anyone who sees the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah to report to the nearest court and register his testimony, or report to the authority of the province's governorate if there is no a judge in the area where he sighted the crescent in order to facilitate reaching the nearest court.
The Supreme Court also urges all Muslims to sight the Crescent for the cooperation of all in righteousness and piety.
