Qaeda 1431 H. / 25 October 2010, SPA -- The Korean University of Kukmin has awarded honorary doctorate, its first prestigious degree in the field of education, to Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Education, in recognition of his efforts in the field of developing higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and enhancing aspects of cooperation in the field of higher education between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea. In a special ceremony also attended by his accompanying delegation and Saudi ambassador to Korea Ahmed bin Younes Al-Barak, Dr. Al-Anqari received the prize. Dr. Al-Anqari is the first Arab and Saudi and the fifth international dignitary to be decorated with honorary doctorate by Kukmin University. The university has previously awarded the degree to Mahathir Mohammed, former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yuki Jong, Chairman of the International Foundation of South Korea in the field of economics, Miagwa Kuwich of Japan in the field of law, Moon Jong Sol, Chief Judge of South Korea and Dae Ku of South Korea in the field of law.
