OIC Chief Meets Bashkortostan's President

Qa'dah 16, 1431, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu for the first time visited Ufa on 20th October 2010, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation. The Secretary General had a bilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, according to an OIC press release issued here yesterday.
The Secretary General commended the efforts of the President and his government in advancing science, industry and innovation in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Secretary General Ihsanoglu and the President agreed to further cooperation and continue contacts between the OIC and the Republic of Bashkortostan. Ihsanoglu extended an invitation to President Khamitov to visit OIC headquarters in Jeddah.
