Qa'dah 13, 1431 / Oct. 21, 2010, SPA -- Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Alsheikh said that the talks he held with Spanish leaders reflected the level of Saudi-Spanish closeness and agreement of views between the two countries on many current international issues especially the Middle East region issue. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he said the visit of the Shoura delegation to Spain aimed at bolstering Saudi-Spanish relations in various fields especially the parliamentary field. In a similar statement, Speaker of the Spanish Senate Javier Rojo Garcia highlighted the importance of the delegation's visit to bolstering Saudi-Spanish relations. Meanwhile, a number of Spanish parliamentarians hailed Saudi efforts in fighting terrorism. The parliamentarians' remarks came during a joint meeting of Saudi members of the Shoura Council and Spanish parliamentarians.
