Qa'dah 02, 1431, Oct 10, SPA -- A bus loaded with 53 people collided with a cement truck in eastern China Saturday, killing at least 17 people, authorities said. The fiery crash, which occurred on a highway in Jiangsu province between Hefei in Anhui province and Nanjing in Jiangsu province, left another 23 passengers injured, Xinhua reported. There was thick fog at the time of the accident, the state-run news agency was quoted as saying by the United Press International (UPI). The accident occurred while the area was shrouded in thick fog, and the collision caused the truck to catch fire before rolling off the roadbed and crashing on the coach, local authorities told Xinhua.
