Pakistan's Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Sunday directed the city administration to expedite development projects for their timely completion in Multan. In a meeting with members of Parliament from South Punjab along with the city administration at the local Circuit House, the Prime Minister warned that “any slackness regarding completion of projects would be intolerable”. After over viewing the projects, the Prime Minister particularly emphasized on improving sewerage system, provision of clean drinking water and concrete measures to make the city pollution free. The Prime Minister directed the authorities concerned to “take every necessary consultation with international consultants” for better handling of the projects. He also discussed the plan of Khanewal-Multan section of motorway, under construction by-passes and repair of roads across South Punjab, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
