The Saudi relief plane carrying 107 ton of relief assistance arrived in Islamabad today. The relief plane was received by Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Abdul-Aziz al-Ghadeer and a number of officials. Speaking on the occasion, al-Ghadeer highlighted the support extended by the Kingdom to Pakistan and said there was a positive response to the call earlier made by Prince Naif ibn Abdul-Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, to all citizens, residents as well as businessmen, banks, companies and establishments for assisting their Pakistani brethren. On his part, Hassan Zul-Fikar, the official at the national commission for the relief of the Pakistanis, said the support extended by the Kingdom to his country is not a strange matter because the Pakistanis have been accustomed to such support at all disasters and hard days. Meanwhile, Dr Khalid al-Othmani, the regional director of the campaign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, said the Saudi relief plane comes in line with the popular campaign ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah ibn Abdul-Aziz.
