The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Higher Education Council (HEC) has approved HEC's decisions including educational space transmission rights, establishment of Arabic Language Institute for non-Arabic speaking male students, a similar institute for female students, the merger of some post-graduate departments, restructuring of some colleges in addition to the setup of new departments, deanships and agencies in some universities. In a statement, the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari thanked the monarch for his approval, considering it a step to upgrade higher education towards ideal future planning in the service of the nation and citizens. Al-Anqari explained that, according to the space transmission new regulation, each educational institution will have the right to use sole rights to transmit special programs within its academic liability.
