Saudi ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Hassan Talat Nazer today announced the evacuation of all Saudi families and citizens and most of Saudi students in Christ Church, New Zealand after Saturday's 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit the city. All safety measures were taken to ensure their save return to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he said. In a statement to SPA, Nazer said the Saudi embassy and consulate in Auckland, in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah ibn Abdul-Aziz, have taken all required measures to ensure the safety of the Saudi students and their families. Ambassador Nazer said he has been following up all developments in this regard.
