Thani, the Qatari Emir, to Yemen on July 13, 2010, and his meeting with Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Salih. The council highlighted the significance of hosting the delegations of the Yemeni government and Houthis by Doha. The council also appraised the five-member summit held in Tripoli on June 26, 2010 which aimed at enhancing the joint Arab work. The council congratulated Sultan Qaboos of Oman on the 40th anniversary of the renaissance day, which fell on July 23, 2010, and hoped that Oman would go ahead on the path of progress and prosperity. The council praised the outcome of the visit of King Hamad ibn Eisa al-Khalifa of Bahrain to Egypt. It also congratulated Prince Salman ibn Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh province, on the success of the surgical operation he has recently undergone. The council reiterated its support to Bahrain which has recently announced dismantling a terror network, and voiced support to the measures that it might take to confront the menace of terror acts. The council urged countries of the world notably the United Kingdom to expel terror elements from its territories and not to allow them practice subversive activities. --more
